Opportunities abound for investment in our community and there are a variety of options to choose from when it comes to developable land within our municipality. First and foremost it is important to do a little research up front to determine where a potential development can be best accommodated. The information included on this page should help you get well on your way. It is always recommended that you make an appointment with the Community Development Officer to discuss land options.


Sources of Land


District Land

The District of Tumbler Ridge has developed two subdivisions containing bare, serviced lots for sale. These include a Commercial Service (C2) subdivision and a Heavy Industrial (M1)  subdivision.

The District of Tumbler Ridge also has one Town Centre Commercial (C1) lot for sale.

If none of these options suit your needs, please contact the Community Development Officer to discuss options for obtaining raw land for development.

How to Submit and Offer to Purchase for District land
If you are interested in purchasing a particular lot or tract of raw land you must complete an Offer to Purchase Form, then submit it along with a written description of your proposed development and a dimensioned site plan. Submissions must be addressed to the Economic Development Officer.

The District has sold all of the commercial service lots in the new Mesa Commercial Park.  We do have a variety of other raw commercial land available that may suit your purposes.  Please contact the Community Development Officer to discuss your needs.

Crown Land

Tumbler Ridge has a great deal of Crown land (provincially owned) within its District. If there isn’t suitable or sufficient land available from the municipality or private sector, Crown land could be the solution.
